Ashlesh M and Aashni Jogi win Level 3 Rapid Chess Tournament

Level-3 Rapid Chess Tournament was held on 1st March 2020 at Derik’s Chess School Mangalore.

Ashlesh M of St.Aloysius School and Aashni Jogi of Sharada Vidyalaya won the top position in open & girls category respectively.

Open category witnessed closely fought games and at the end, 6 players were tied for the second position. While better tiebreak point fetched  Gagandeep Shetty(St.Aloysius Gonzaga) & Clevin D’Souza (St.Mary’s School) had to be content for 2nd & 3rd position respectively.

In girls category, Aashni Jogi and Pavana Prasad were tied for the first position. Aashni was placed 1st on the basis of tiebreak points. Pavana Prasad (Sharada Vidyalaya) & Sharadhi Rai (SVVHS, Kerala) won 2nd & 3rd position respectively.

Dhyan B Pai (Mount Carmel Central School), Siddharth S Shetty (Cambridge School), Samarth Mallya (St.Aloysius Gonzaga) and P Achinthya Bhat(Sharada Vidyalaya) were awarded most promising talents of the event in open category.

Ira Jain (Manipal School) and Lincia Jocelyn D’Souza (St.Theresa’s School) were awarded most promising talents of the event in girls category.
